
Jim Abrams
James “Jim” Abrams is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Managers of Medline Industries, LP.
Based in Northfield, Illinois, Medline is the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of health care supplies in the United States, with 2023 worldwide revenue of $23 billion.
Abrams began his career at Medline in 1992. Prior to Medline, he worked for the law firm Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago.
His current philanthropic interests include: Northwestern University, the Board of Trustees for Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, the President’s Leadership Council at USC, the Dean’s Advisory Council at The University of Chicago Law School, and the Executive Committee of the Ravinia Festival. Abrams also serves as a Director of the Eleven Eleven Foundation.
Abrams graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned his Juris Doctorate from The University of Chicago.
Jim resides in Highland Park, Illinois with his wonderful wife of 34 years, Wendy, and together have four children: David (31), Emily Rawlings (29, husband: Carter), Katherine (25) and Jacob (25).
